[Infographic] 7 Reasons To Get An Annual Roof Maintenance Program
Maintaining your commercial roof is one of the most important things you can do to protect your roof asset and everything inside your building.
Even new roofs need maintenance — roofs that are well-maintained from installation onward perform as required for an average of five to eight years longer than roofs that are not maintained. Why spend money on a new roof and go through the process of re-roofing before you need to?
You’ll get a lot of other benefits from regular roof maintenance in addition to system longevity — here’s a quick summary in an infographic.
If you don’t already have an annual roof maintenance contract with a reputable roofing contractor, it’s never too late to start. Most maintenance contracts include two to four visits per year and, if you contract with a full-service roofing company, you should also receive preferential scheduling if something ever goes wrong with your roof between maintenance visits.
Remember to also schedule an appointment with your maintenance contractor after a severe storm so they can check for any damage.
At Sentry Roof, our annual maintenance program is called Sentry Roof Care and each visit includes these seven services for every type and size commercial roof:
1. Remove debris from the roof
2. Clear the drainage system
3. Inspect all roofing materials
4. Inspect roof penetrations, including all flashing
5. Complete minor repairs and sealing
6. Provide a comprehensive report with photos
7. Provide pricing for any needed repairs
