The annual Firestone Master Contractor Program represents the top five percent of Firestone Building Products contractors.
For 30 years it’s been honoring commercial roofing contractors in North America and Central America who exhibit excellence in roofing system installation, work quality, and customer service.
What it took to win the award
Sentry earned the Silver Master Contractor Award by meeting requirements in these three areas:
A Red Shield Warranty provides edge-to-edge system coverage for material and labor with no-dollar-limit liability, and it’s transferable from owner-to-owner. Warranties range from five to 30 years, depending on the system.
Sentry has been using Firestone products for many years and is a Red Shield licensed contractor. All Firestone Red Shield licensed contractors are automatically eligible for the Master Contractor Program and throughout the year earn quality points for the installation of several roofing system products, including Firestone RubberGard™ EPDM, UltraPly™ TPO, Asphalt and Metal Roofing Systems.
Firestone says, “The Silver Master Contractor award represents contractors who have mastered quality commercial roofing solutions and who exemplify the hard work, determination and entrepreneurial leadership that defines Firestone Building Products.”
Sentry Roof uses these Firestone products and systems because they deliver the results we want for our customers. We are honored to be recognized for our work using these products and following our industry’s best practices, and to have achieved 2017 Master Contractor status. Firestone included these projects among the many that we completed using their products in 2016:
In addition to the Silver Master Contractor Award, Sentry Roof earned inclusion in what is considered by our industry to be one of the most elite contractor groups in the nation. The Inner Circle of Quality Award is awarded to Master Contractors who meet additional qualifications, including adhering to the highest quality standards. Award winners are recognized during events and are eligible to participate in special projects.
What it took to win the award
Inner Circle of Quality Award winners installed a minimum number of warranted Firestone Building Products roofing systems over the past six years, including eight warranted Firestone Building Products roofing systems each in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and four warranted roofs per year for each of the prior three years. Members also were required to maintain at least two million square feet of Firestone Building Products roofs under warranty.
Perhaps most importantly, winners achieve an annual Quality Incidence Rating (QIR) of 1.0 or less. QIR measures a contractor’s performance based on the number of warranty repair incidences per million square feet.
“Our people work very hard to do a good job and provide good service. Other services regularly get recognition and positive feedback but high-quality roofing work…well, it tends to be something only another roofer can appreciate fully,” says Bill Lomel, president of Sentry Roof Services. “I think it’s a very good thing that Firestone sets high standards and tracks performance so that award winners can let employees and clients know there is a difference in high-quality workmanship — and we appreciate that our consistent achievement is noted!”
Thank you, Firestone, for this recognition.
